MMS03.001 – SGW Bypass Universal Cable for IXI Personal Flasher and Flex

This new SGW bypass universal cable lets you connect to vehicles equipped with the SGW system in both OBD and Bench modes.

The cable supports the following control units:

• Continental/Vitesco EMS3140 – OBD (SGW Bypass), Bench
• Continental/Vitesco EMS3141 – OBD (SGW Bypass), Bench
• Continental/Vitesco EMS3160 – OBD (SGW Bypass), Bench
• Continental/Vitesco EMS3161 – OBD (SGW Bypass), Bench
• Continental/Vitesco SID321 – Bench (For IXI only: the cable allows connection even without the vehicle)

OBD mode (SGW bypass) – Description:

The SGW Bypass universal cable is essential for identification, reading, and writing operations on Continental EMS314x and EMS316x engine units found in Renault, Dacia, Nissan, and Mitsubishi vehicles, allowing programming without needing to remove the unit from the vehicle.

OBD mode (SGW bypass) – Connection procedure:

After connecting crocodile clips to the battery or a charger, and locating the vehicle’s CAN lines (as per the manual in our software), connect the programmer to the female OBD port of the cable to proceed with programming.

Bench mode – Description:

The SGW bypass universal cable enables programming using Bench protocols, allowing access to the unit even if the vehicle is not present (as there are no SGW modules between the ECU and programmer in Bench mode).

Bench mode – Connection procedure:

After connecting the crocodile clips to a power source, connect the pins to the included adapters and directly to the control unit’s connector, then connect the programmer to the Female OBD port of the cable.
